5 months/2 months corrected

21.5 Inches

Erin, the pediatric dietitian from Children's Hospital crunched the numbers and it turned out that Charlotte has been gaining weight a little too quickly. She is currently in the 75th percentile for her height. Erin would prefer to see her closer to the 50th. At least we know she is getting adequate nutrition even with her little puking episodes.

So the plan is to keep her feeds more or less the same, but eliminate one of the overnight feeds. This will be appreciated by all of us since Charlotte has been doing better at sleeping for longer periods over night. It was always frustrating to get her to go to sleep and then have to wake her up 15 minutes later because she had a scheduled feed.

Hi! We're glad you guys have made it back and the surgery went well. How nice that you get to get rid of one of the night feedings - we can relate to the comment about finally getting her to sleep and then waking her up again 15 minutes later for a scheduled feed. Charlotte looks so good. Hopefully the G-tube will be the turning point and she'll figure out the eating thing! Sorry I haven't responded to your email, Katie, I never seem to have the time! I will soon. :)

Better a chunky monkey than a skinny mini, I say. Glad the surgery went well and Grandma and Grandpa finally got to meet their newest great-grandchild.

Good luck on the new feeding system - I know she'll figure it out soon.

We are glad to hear the surgery and recovery is going well. It is so exciting to see that she is at 10lbs!

Happy New year!
